We believe in looking after what we love, and we LOVE our planet.
Sustainability has been at the heart of what we do since day one. We see it as a journey, rather than a destination, and are continuously exploring ways to improve our practices.
We have spent countless days appreciating the depths of our oceans and its creatures. We have seen firsthand the effects of pollution, of climate change, and as a company have made it our mission to minimise our impact as efficiently as possible, educating others as we go.
Our Practices
RECYCLED FABRICS
We are proud to use only the finest fabrics sourced from Italy and the U.S. made from recycled post-consumer materials (including fishing nets and plastic bottles). Not only does this prevent the production of new synthetic materials, but it reduces the rate that micro plastics are released into oceans by regular swimwear fabrics. This rate of release can be further slowed by the way you take care of your bikinis. These fabrics are also resistant to UV, oils, lotions and chlorine, have excellent shape retention and are ultra-soft.
ECO-FRIENDLY PACKAGING
We are proud to use 100% compostable mailer bigs to ship all of your orders. They are made mainly from corn starch, and if placed in your at-home compost, will take only 90-120 days to break down (or if they end up in landfill, will take 2 years). In comparison, regular plastic mailer bags can take up to 400 years to break down, and still release harmful methane gas into the atmosphere.
CARBON NEUTRAL DELIVERY
Increased carbon dioxide (C02) levels are a significant contributor to climate change, with 10% of global emissions being caused by transport & logistics (including online shopping deliveries!). We are proud to use
Sendle for all of our domestic and international standard shipping, a 100% carbon neutral Australian-owned delivery service provider.
We currently donate 5% of each sale to select charities, each making efforts to fight climate change, ocean pollution, and ecosystem regeneration. Find out more here.
